The Green Bay Packers road to the Super Bowl begins today. The team’s first training camp workout is set for this morning. Mike McCarthy met the media on Wednesday.  He says he doesn’t mind the lofty expectations once again for his team. After last season’s 15-1 mark, he says that they could actually be a better team this year even if they don’t match that 15-1 record.

The Packers cut safety Charlie Peprah last night.  He appeared in 67 games and made 26 starts during his five seasons inGreen Bay.  Peprah intercepted 7 passes while in Titletown.  The team also cut guard Grant Cook and signed guard Greg Van Roten.

Seven Packer players failed their pre-camp physicals and were put on the Physically Unable to Perform list.  They include; LB Desmond Bishop (non-football injury), LB Frank Zombo, FB John Kuhn, T Derek Sherrod, TE Andrew Quarless, G James Brooks, and NT Johnny Jones.
