The couple of young guys that Capers was referring to is M.D. Jennings and Anthony Levine. Both went undrafted, but they have experience in the team’s defense.
Before the draft is over, the Packers will likely have used a pick or two on corner help. If the Packers can get a player there to step in and contribute right away, they have some flexibility with Charles Woodson, who could spend some more time at safety.
The top two safeties in the draft went in the first round last night, Alabama’s Mark Barron went with the 7th pick to Tampa Bay and the Minnesota Vikings used the 29th pick on Notre Dame’s Harrison Smith.
