The Packers have finally put an end the "Name-Plate-Gate." The team had left Brett Favre's locker be after the 3-time MVP retired and the national media picked up the story in recent weeks speculating that the team might not consider him toally retired. Some of the experts also said that having Favre's locker sitting there put more pressure on Aaron Rodgers, even thought the new starting QB said he had more important things to do. The "Favre" nameplate was gone on Thursday and replaced with the generic "Packers" one.
Defensive end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamilia had a knee scoped on Thursday. Mike McCarthy says KGB will be out of action for about 2 months and should be ready to go by training camp.
The Packers also announced their Training Camp schedule on Thursday. The team opens camp on Monday, July 28th at 8:15am. They will have 7 night practices, including one on opening night at 6:30pm. The final practice open to the public is on Tuesday, August 26th at 10:15am.
