Ruvell Martin Earlier this week, Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy had declared his football team is “getting healthy.”  You'd never know based on the teams injury situation as of Wednesday.

Backup running back Brandon Jackson reported to work on Tuesday with concussion symptoms.  Jackson was held out of practice on Wednesday and will have to pass concussion tests before he can return to practice.  Running back Ryan Grant isn't scheduled to practice until Friday because of a sore hamstring, which left the reps with the number 1 offense to Kregg Lumpkin, the rookie free agent out of Georgia.

Defensive back Charles Woodson and wide receiver Ruvell Martin are also injured.  Woodson suffered a broken toe in Monday's win over Minnesota, while Martin (pictured) broke his hand way back in the Denver preseason game.  That hand has recently started to give Martin problems, which had the Packers fitting Martin with a club-like cast for practice.  His status for Sunday's game is up in the air.

And Scott Wells was expected to return to work at center this week, but he watched from the sidelines again yesterday.

There was some good news when injuries are concerned.  Wide receiver James Jones returned to practice after spraining his knee and looked good.  Linebacker A.J. Hawk also had no setbacks in the Viking game and will be good to go against the Lions in Detroit this Sunday.
