After putting up 24 first half points, the Green Bay Packers went silent in the second half, knocking off the St. Louis Rams 24-3 at Lambeau Field.

Aaron Rodgers passed for 310 yards and three touchdowns for the game. The three touchdown passes all came in the second quarter. Rodgers threw scoring strikes to James Jones, Donald Driver and to Jordy Nelson. Nelson’s was a 93 yard catch and run that beat former Packers corner Al Harris.
Rodgers was OK in the second half, but his receivers suffered dropped passes and he offense just didn’t execute. They finished just 4 of 13 (31%) on 3rd downs.
The Packers failed to put the Rams away in the second half with a ground attack. St. Louis entered the game last in the league in rushing defense, yet the Packers managed just 96 total yards for the game and a per rush average of 3.0.
The Packers haven’t had a stretch like that on offense this season. So instead of panicking, they’ll make the corrections, take the win and get ready for next Sunday’s game at Minnesota. The Packers at 6-0, are now the only unbeaten team in the NFL after the Lions lost to the 49ers 25-19.
