The Green Bay Packers said Wednesday that the franchise’s net profit was up last year and it had record revenue but higher expenses, including player costs, remain worrisome.
Team executives released their financial report in advance of the team’s July 29th shareholders meeting at Lambeau Field. Net profit for the fiscal year ending March 31st was $5.2-million, up from $4-million last year. Total team revenue was a record $258-million, up from $248-million.
The Packers, because of their public status, are required under team bylaws to disclose their finances each year.
