Forbes Magazine is out with the World’s 50 Most Valuable Sports franchises and the Green Bay Packers rank 24th in value, worth $1.183 billion.
What makes the Packers unique to this list is the fact that they’re publicly owned.
The top three teams on the Forbes list are soccer teams. The New York Yankees rank 4th at $2.5 billion and the Dallas Cowboys are the first NFL team in at number 5 with a value of $2.3 billion.
Several NFL teams are in front of the Packers at number-24. After Dallas at number-5, New England ($1.8 billion) is 8th. Washington is 9th, the New York Giants are 10th. Houston is 12th, the New York Jets 14th, Philadelphia is 17th, the Chicago Bears are 18th. Baltimore is 19th, San Francisco 20th and Indianapolis is 23rd.
