The Green Bay Packers re-issued their restricted free-agent tenders to defensive end Johnny Jolly, defensive back Tramon Williams and safety Atari Bigby. If the players don’t sign their tenders by June 15th, the Packers can then reduce the tender to 110% of the players 2009 salary and still retain exclusive negotiating rights.
According to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel today, Johnny Jolly’s felony drug trial in Houston has been postponed for a 3rd time. That report also said that Jolly failed a polygraph test, which is the reason he underwent harsher bond restrictions last month.
Could this trail be delayed any longer? Let’s get on with it. We all would like to know what Jolly could be looking at for punishment if any, as well as to what extend, the NFL might come down on Jolly in terms of a possible suspension.
