During the regular season, Tuesday is usually an off day for the Green Bay Packers.  However, with the Packers hosting the Minnesota Vikings Saturday night in Wild Card weekend of the NFL Playoffs, Green Bay is back on the practice field today instead of the customary Wednesday start to the work week.

It will be the third meeting between the teams in the last six weeks.  Green Bay knocked off the Vikings 23-14 back on December the 2nd while the Vikings earned a 37-34 win this past Sunday at the Metro Dome.  The third meeting of the season will come just six days after the last time the teams laced it up.

On the injury front, McCarthy said Monday that the status of Randall Cobb, Charles Woodson and James Starks would be determined during the week.  Cobb missed last weeks game with a knee and an ankle injury.

Woodson has been out with a broken clavicle since week 7.  The injury was expected to keep him out only 6-weeks at the time, but Woodson has not played in 10-weeks.  Starks hurt his knee in the first meeting with the Vikings and has missed the last 4-weeks.

As for injuries from Sunday’s loss in Minnesota, more information will be known today about Jerel Worthy (knee) and Jarett Boykin (ankle) though McCarthy did not appear optimistic about either player Monday.  Clay Matthews and Jordy Nelson were also helped off the field Sunday, but both returned to the game and McCarthy wasn’t concerned with either player.

The Packers and Vikings will kickoff 7:00 pm Saturday night at Lambeau Field.
