The Packers selected wide receiver Davante Adams out of Fresno State with the 53rd overall pick (round 2) in the draft. After a red shirt season in 2011, Adams played just two seasons at Fresno State and put up some staggering numbers.
Adams started all 26 games and caught 233 career passes for 3,030 yards and 38 touchdowns. In two seasons, Adams averaged 116.54 yards a game. Last season as a sophomore, Adams caught 131 passes for 1,718 yards and 24 touchdowns. He averaged 13.11 yards per catch and 132.22 yards a game.
Adams is the only player in Fresno State history to record multiple 100-reception, 1,000-yard, double digit-touchdown performances. His 233 career receptions ranked 4th in Mountain West Conference history.
Adams gives the Packers a solid four wide receiver rotation in Green Bay. He joins Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Jarrett Boykin make up the first four receivers in the rotation.
