The Green Bay Packers officially signed linebacker Brandon Chillar to a free agent contract on Monday.  The 6'3, 242 pound linebacker started 40 of 63 games during his four years in St. Louis.  He is expected to battle Brady Poppinga for the starting strong side linebacker position in 2008.

Chillar was selected in the 4th round of the 2004 NFL Draft out of UCLA where he was an All-Pac 10 player as a senior.

Green Bay also signed free agent tackle Joe Toledo and long snapper Thomas Gafford on Monday.
