The surprise loss by the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday allowed the Packers to pull back even at 12-2 on the season, although the Cowboys still own the tie-breaker advantage for home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

But the Packers do have a chance.  They have a couple of soft teams, the Bears and the Lions on their schedule in the final two weeks, while the slumping Cowboys must contend with Carolina and Washington.  Neither the Panthers or the Redskins will be confused as powerhouses, but they do have a chance to sneak up on the Cowboys, who are struggling.

I like this race still being on for the Packers for this reason.  They won't have a chance just yet to start resting guys.  We've seen that turn into trouble far too many times.

This will allow the Packers to stay sharp and for the young players to continue their development.  Afterall, they still have the bye week to rest prior to the 2nd round of the playoffs.

This is a good thing, and don't be surprised if the Cowboys give the Packers a chance to play the NFC Championship game on the Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field.
