Month after throwing for more than 11-hundred yards (1,101), 14 touchdowns and only 1 interception in four games (3-1).
Rodgers finished with a 121.5 passer rating, tops in the NFL. He threw multiple touchdown passes in all four October games, including six in Week 6 when he was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
It’s the sixth Player of the Month award for Rodgers, which ties him for the most since the award was created in 1986. He’s tied with Tom Brady, Brett Favre, Barry Sanders, Bruce Smith and Steve Young.
Meanwhile, Packers rookie corner Casey Hayward shared NFC Rookie of the Month honors with Tampa Bay’s Doug Martin.
Hayward tied for the NFL lead among all players in October with four interceptions.
All four of Hayward’s interceptions occurred in three consecutive games and he became the first Packers rookie to intercept four passes in a three-game span since 1984 (Tom Flynn).
Hayward is the third Packer to be named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month and the first since 2003. He joins Vonnie Holliday and Nick Barnett.
