The Green Bay Packers wrapped up their final training camp workout on Tuesday and will close out the preseason Thursday night at home against the Tennessee Titans. Following the game Thursday night, the team is expected to get the rest of the weekend off and start preparing for the season opener with a practice on Monday.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy said this has been the best training camp since he's been in Green Bay. He also said he's never seen a training camp with more favorable weather. The Packers didn't have to move a single practice indoors because of rain.
Fan attendance was down in this training camp, most likely related to the trade of Brett Favre to the New York Jets. Attendance was as low as it's been in at least 20 years.
