Ricky Franklin and Tim Flowers scored 17 points each as UW-Milwaukee got by Division 2 opponent UW-Parkside 86-83 in exhibition basketball in Milwaukee on Thursday night.
The Panthers avenged a 77-71 loss to the Rangers in exhibition play last year.
The Panthers played without Senior guard Avery Smith, who was suspended indefinitely for violating team rules. Smith was the leading scorer for the Panthers last season.
