Freshman Alex McIntosh and senior Mike Schneider combined to throw the first no-hitter in UW-Milwaukee’s program history on Tuesday, 7-0 over UW-Superior at Henry Aaron Field.
McIntosh (from Hortonville) worked the first seven innings and struck out 11 hitters. He didn’t find out he was going to pitch until about 25-minutes before the game.
Schneider pitched the final two innings for the Panthers, in his first appearance since the end of the 2013 season. Schneider missed all of 2014 after Tommy John surgery.
McIntosh improved to 2-1 on the season, while the Panthers are 15-9 on the year.
