There’s a move to afoot to draft Wisconsin’s Paul Ryan into the presidential race, but the House Speaker is so far indicating no interest. With Republican leadership increasingly concerned over the prospect of Donald Trump as the party’s nominee, a new group is trying to push the House Speaker from Janesville to get into the race.

The Committee to Draft Speaker Ryan filed papers as a Super PAC with the Federal Election Commission last week, just days after Ryan called out Trump for not quickly rejecting the endorsement of Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke.

A Ryan spokesman shot the idea down almost immediately, saying that the Janesville Republican, who was the party’s 2012 vice presidential candidate, “is flattered, but not interested.” Mitt Romney, the GOP’s presidential candidate in 2012, also said he was not interested making another run.
