Wisconsin senior tight end Jacob Pedersen has played his way onto the midseason watch list for the John Mackey Award.

Pedersen, who was included on the award’s preseason watch list for the second straight season, is one of 29 players under consideration for the award presented annually to the nation’s most outstanding tight end.

That midseason watch list includes five Big Ten tight ends.

Pedersen moved into a tie for seventh all-time at UW when he hauled in the 16th touchdown reception of his career last Saturday in Wisconsin’s 35-6 win over Northwestern.

Pedersen has two touchdown receptions among his 12 catches for 131 yards this season.  For his career, Pedersen has caught 77 passes for 974 yards.
