Packers first round pick Nick Perry got his first taste of NFL life this past weekend at Green Bay’s rookie mini-camp.  Perry is moving from defensive end to outside linebacker.  He currently weighs about 270 pounds, which he says won’t cause any problems playing linebacker.  Perry weighed about 250 pounds at USC.  The Packers hope that Perry can help add some pressure on the opposite side of Clay Matthews.  Perry knows it won’t be him alone that will turn the defense around in 2012.  He does fell he can help the defense though.  The Packers will open full squad Organized Team Activities on May 22nd.

The team also signed five players from this past weekend’s rookie mini-camp.  They are Illinois State CB Otis Merrill, Nebraska WR Curenski Gileylen,DelawaretackleShea Allard,VirginiaTech WR Jarrett Boykin, andArkansasguard Grant Cook.
