A single engine airplane crashed late Friday night northof Menomonie, killing all three people on board. The Dunn County Sheriff's office says thecrash happened around 9:44 p.m., the same time Twin Cities radar lost contact with the plane. The crashhappened near State Highway 25 and 770th Avenue, in the Town of Tainter. Sheriff's deputies,the State Patrol and Menomonie Fire and EMSwere all sent to the scene. Names of the victims were being withheldpending notification of family members. Officials from the NationalTransportation Safety Bureau and Federal Aviation Administration willinvestigate the crash.
