Insurance plans will be widely available under Obamacare in Wisconsin. State residents will have multiple choices for health insurance plans, once new Obamacare on-line exchanges begin accepting applications in about two weeks time. A list provided by the state Office of the Commissioner of Insurance shows 59 of the 72 counties will have at least two providers offering individual plans. Robert Kraig with Wisconsin Citizen Action says that confirms expectations. “Most people are going to have a lot of different choices in Wisconsin,” he said. “That’s really good news, to have a new competitive marketplace, where people have a lot of competing health insurance carriers, and then a lot of different plans from each carrier.” Consumers will have some time to shop – December 15th will be the last date they’ll be able purchase a plan to go into effect January 1st.
