The Racine County District Attorney’s office may be seeking murder charges in adult court, against a 15-year old boy. Police had been very tight-lipped about the July 29th shooting death of Semar McClain, in the backyard of a home on the city’s north side.
Some 12 hours after a shots fired call was reported in that same neighborhood, the arrest of the 15-year old was announced. Sergeant Jessie Metoyer said it was thanks to outstanding assistance from the community and solid police work by investigators. The teen suspect, apparently well known in that neighborhood, could face life in prison if convicted in adult court.
