It’s still summer, but the state Tourism Department is already looking ahead to fall.

Wisconsin Tourism Secretary Kelli Trumble says the agency is getting ready to roll out their autumn advertising campaign before the end of this month. The effort features the state’s fall color report, which helps to attract viewers from all over.

Autumn is typically the second busiest travel season in the state, with summer attracting the most visitors. This year, Trumble says there appears to have been an increase in travel. However, she says the Department won’t have hard numbers on exactly how much until later this year.
