A new tool from Project Vote Smart will show Wisconsinites how their local lawmakers voted on key state issues. For the first time, the group is expanding its “Voter Self Defense Manual” to also include state politics. Key votes director Colleen Candrl says they considered a number of important issues facing the state when creating the list of Wisconsin votes included in the guide. It features voting records on issues such as concealed carry, the same sex marriage amendment and the upcoming death penalty referendum. Candrl says the effort also provides a detailed history for state lawmakers who may eventually run for federal office. The guide is available online on Project Vote Smart's website.
