Start of the Green Bay Marathon
Kenyan native James Boit of Coon Valley, Minnesota, has won the 2010 Cellcom Green Bay Marathon in record time, crossing the finish line in 2:15:15. Boit beat the previous record of 2:17:32 by 1 minute and 47 seconds.
Seymour’s Tyler Sigl topped local finishers by finishing 4th overall with a time of 2:22:21.
Janet Cherobon defended her women’s crown from a year ago by breaking the record she set a year ago by 14-seconds. Cherobon crossed the finish line in 2:37:39.
Both Boit and Cherobon collect $2500 in prize money for the wins.
