There were five combined home runs, accounting for all six combined runs, between the Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds Tuesday night at Great American Ballpark. Unfortunately for the Brewers, they were on the short end of both categories.

The Reds three homers were enough to chase Kyle Lohse and Milwaukee (4-17) in a 4-2 defeat, their second straight.

Lohse served up a solo home run to Joey Votto in the first inning, then back-to-back jacks in the fourth inning to Brandon Phillips and Marlon Byrd to put the Brewers in a 4-0 hole. The loss is his fourth in five starts this season and third consecutive.

The Brewers bats were held in check to the tune of three hits, though two were solo home runs. Aramis Ramirez and Ryan Braun each hit their second homer of the season.

Reds starter Johnny Cueto (2-2) earned his sixth straight win against Milwaukee, and improves his home record against the Crew to a perfect 8-0. Cueto tallied six strikeouts over his eight innings.

The loss ensures that the Brewers will finish the month of April without picking up back-to-back wins, while becoming the first National League team in 18 years to start the season with just four wins in its first 21 wins.

Milwaukee will try to avoid its third sweep of the season Wednesday afternoon. Matt Garza (1-3) will throw against Michael Lorenzen (0-0), with first pitch at 12:35pm.
