A new report predicts Wisconsin will see moderate economic growth in the coming year.

According to the latest economic outlook forecast from the state Department of Revenue, Wisconsin is poised to see jobs increase by 1.1 percent in 2013 and personal incomes grow by 1.9 percent. In all, the state is expected to add about 31,000 jobs this year, which is about the same amount added in the past two years.

Revenue officials say the unemployment rate will be 6.9 percent for this year, and will drop to 6.5 percent in 2014. The jobless rate has been dropping almost steadily for about the last four years, after peaking at 9.2 percent in mid-2009.

While growth for this year is expected to be moderate, larger increases in most key areas are predicted in 2014 and beyond.
