Brett Favre According to FoxSports.com , Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre has decided to retire after 17 seasons in the NFL. 

Favre leaves the game after one of his best NFL seasons, passing for 4,155 yards, 28 touchdown's and a number of NFL records to go along with it.

Favre leaves the game as the NFL's all-time record holder in wins, passing yards, touchdowns and consecutive games started by a quarterback.  He also has three MVP awards to his credit.

The Packers have yet to confirm the news of Favre's retirement, despite several calls to the organization.
