The State Republican Party is holding its annual convention in Lake Geneva this weekend. State Republican Party Chairman Brad Courtney says this weekend is about celebrating their victories from the most recent election, such as Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen's win.

The convention will also include speeches from Kansas Senator Sam Brownback and former Governor Tommy Thompson, both presidential hopefuls. State Republican leaders and members of Wisconsin's Congressional delegation will also address the event.

Courtney says the focus does shift in conventions such as this one, which comes in between major election years. The convention kicks off Friday evening and goes all day Saturday.
