Tens of thousands of Packers fans will fill Lambeau Field this afternoon to help the team celebrate Sunday’s Super Bowl victory. The “Return to Titletown” event starts at 4 p.m. but Green Bay police Lieutenant Jeremy Muraski says fans will likely show up early. He says the parking lot opens at 10 a.m. and fans can start entering the stadium at 2 p.m.

During the one-hour event, several players, general manager Ted Thompson, and Packers coach Mike McCarthy are expected to talk to the crowd. Governor Walker will also be in attendance.

The event will be a boost for area businesses. Mike Walters, who manages the Jersey Store, expects a crowded shop of people. “It’s a good problem to have in early February in a retail business is to have that much business coming in the door,” he says.

Walters says they’ve been selling everything from t-shirts to pennants but the big item is a Super Bowl hat which will be arriving today.

Tickets for the “Return to Titletown” cost $5 and are available through Ticketmaster.
