State Senator Fred Risser (D-Madison) says unfinished business is making him run for office again. The state smoking ban and campaign finance reform are two projects he wants pushed through the legislature.

The Senate President has tried numerous times in his more than 40 year career as a state lawmaker to get a statewide smoke free ban. Risser told WIBA, there is a change in attitudes regarding the issue.

"We see more and more communities developing smoke free areas. We see more constituent letters to their various legislators. I can tell you it's going to happen."

On Monday night, Monona's City Council voted 5 to 1 for a city wide smoke ban, making them the seventh Wisconsin community to pass such an ordinance.
