Green Bay Packers wide receiver Koren Robinson was suspended by the NFL without pay on Tuesday for a minimum of one year for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. Robinson's appeal to the league was heard on Monday and the league's announcement came just a couple of hours after Robinson entered not guilty pleas to charges of drunken driving and fleeing police during a high speed chase in August in Minnesota. Under the terms of the suspension, Robinson won't be allowed to work out or practice with the team. Robinson caught 7 passes for 89 yards during his four games with the team. Robinson isn't eligible for reinstatement until at least Sept. 18, 2007. His suspension and Robert Ferguson's foot injury leaves the Packers extremely thin at wide receiver. Ruvell Martin will move into the 3rd spot and the Packers are expected to make a roster move to add receiver depth sometime tomorrow. They'll most likely get help from their practice squad but could also look outside the organization for help as well.
