The Rock County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate Friday's triple homicide at a mobile home park just south of Janesville, and detectives from the Janesville and Beloit police departments have been assigned specific tasks to help.
Beloit deputy chief Norm Jacobs says this type of support is unusual, but not unprecedented. Jacobs says his department is providing two detectives to work the case. Jacobs says it's important to get as much evidence and information as soon as possible after a crime in order to have the best chance of solving the case. He says when detectives finish their tasks, the sheriff's department will reassess their progress and decide whether further help is needed. Found dead Friday morning were 38 year-old Danyetta Lentz and her children, 17 year-old Nicole and 14 year-old Scott.
