One of Wisconsin's US Senators gets an earful from residents of Oshkosh and Wrightstown. United States Senator Russ Feingold fulfills his promise of holding listening sessions in all of Wisconsin's 72 counties this year. For the second straight year, the biggest concern the Middleton Democrat heard from Wisconsin residents was how upset they are about our foreign policy and what's happening in Iraq. So, Feingold says, that's why he's determined to get the U-S out of that country. "People are upset … tremendously upset. They see Iraq as doing damage to everything in this country and around the world. That's why I'm determined to get us out of there."

For his first 12 years in office, Feingold says health care was the biggest concern. "Health care is still the dominant domestic issue, although we heard a whole bunch about alternative energies … excitement about that. People are sick of dependence on foreign oil, they're interested in doing something about these unfair trade agreements."

Feingold spent more than an hour taking questions at the Wrightstown fire station Thursday afternoon in his final session of 2006. Feingold also held a listening session in Oshkosh yesterday.
