Congressman Paul Ryan will unveil dramatic proposed budgeting changes to federal programs Tuesday. Ryan told WRJN that while everything will be impacted, anyone currently at or over retirement age would not be affected. “The goal is this: we have got to get our national debt under control,” said Ryan. “When 40 cents out of every dollar that government spends is borrowed, and half of that comes from other countries like China, that is unacceptable.”

The Janesville Republican said the reforms will target future retirees, but make sure the programs they’ll need won’t go broke. Ryan said future Medicare recipients would get something like what he and other federal employees get now. Ryan said his proposals will be very easy to read & understand, and will go to his Budget Committee Wednesday.
