The NBA’s Board of governors unanimously approved the sale of the Milwaukee Bucks to Marc Lasry and Wesley Edens late Thursday. The New York investors agreed last month to purchase the Bucks from Herb Kohl for $550-million.
The league said the transaction was expected to close shortly.
Lasry and Edens are expected to take charge of the team in time for Tuesday’s NBA Draft Lottery. The Bucks have the best odds of obtaining the top pick in the June NBA Draft after finishing 15-67 last season.
