When the Milwaukee Bucks made the deal that brought John Salmons to Milwaukee in a trade with the Chicago Bulls, that’s when the teams playoff hopes went up dramatically. Now that the season is over, it’s time for the Bucks to do whatever they can to keep him around.
In fact, if you live in Salmons neighborhood, mow his lawn or wash his car. Do whatever it takes for Salmons to stay in Milwaukee. Unless the Bucks pony up for a long term deal, Salmons has one year left on his contract, but he can opt out of the deal and become a free agent if he desires.
Asked on a scale of 1 to 10 where he would rate the importance of signing Salmons, rookie point guard Brandon Jennings didn’t hesitate.

The Bucks went 22-8 after acquiring Salmons in a Feb. 18th deal with the Bulls. He averaged 19.9 points in 30 regular-season games with the Bucks and led the team on scoring 16 times. He also averaged 17 points a game in the playoffs.
Salmons said he had not decided whether to opt out of his deal but he said if he were to return to Milwaukee, he likes the teams chances to do well and surpass the 50-win mark.

Salmons did say that moving is getting a little old. He’s played for four teams in his 8-year NBA career, Philadelphia, Sacramento, Chicago and now the Bucks.
