The two candidates vying for the open US Senate seat in Wisconsin duke it out Thursday in their second of three debates. Former Republican Governor Tommy Thompson and Democratic Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin discuss jobs, healthcare, education, debt, Iran sanctions, and the polarized political climate.
The discussion started out slow but got spirited at times. At one point, when Baldwin interrupted Thompson, he scolded her, calling her “Joe Biden.”
Baldwin and Thompson are vying for the seat being vacated by US Senator Herb Kohl. The debate took place Thursday night at the UW Marathon County campus in Wausau. The third and final debate is schedule for Friday, October 26th.
