Police in Racine are giving one of the high schools more attention today because of a stabbing incident Thursday afternoon. One student, according to Lieutenant Jerry Baldukas, was targeted for a beating outside of Park High School at the end of the day, which led to that student retaliating by stabbing two of the offenders.

Both suffered non-life threatening injuries. A total of four students were taken into custody. Baldukas says the victim did not know his attackers. The targeted student pulled the knife while being assaulted, suggesting he had the weapon in school.

A Racine Unified official says today’s heightened police presence at Park High School is more a precaution than anything.
