Tonight, it's Madison west siders versus the big bad coyote. Residents are hoping to come up with a solution to the varmints, which Dave Braun says snatched and likely killed his little poodle, "Rizzo," from the family's back yard. "We saw the coyotes later that evening," says Braun. "We see them all the time."

It's not just little dogs being victimized that worries Braun, who has observed the coyotes in his yard, through a night vision scope. It's a worry for families with children as well. "I'm not interested in killing any kind of innocent animals, but the fact is that 25 years ago when these neighborhoods were built, there were no coyotes in the area. So it's not like they were here first." Residents are meeting with city and state officials tonight to address the problem. The most likely solution appears to be hiring a sharpshooter.
