Voters will have several chances to compare the two candidates running for Wisconsin’s open U.S. Senate seat. Republican Tommy Thompson and Democrat Tammy Baldwin have agreed to debate each other three times before the November election.

The first debate, hosted by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, will take place in Milwaukee on September 28th. The second will be October 18th in Wausau, sponsored by Wisconsin Public Television, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and WTMJ-TV. The third and final debate will take place on October 26th at Marquette University Law School.

Thompson won the GOP nomination after a four way primary, while Baldwin faced no opposition for the Democratic nomination. Both candidates are running for the seat currently held by retiring US Senator Herb Kohl (D-WI).
