Barack Obama's Wisconsin strategy includes working from the ground up. During a conference call with reporters, Wisconsin Field Director Nicole Derse said the campaign will include over 450 "Obama Organizing Teams". Derse calls the effort "unprecedented, something that the state has never seen before."

Derse said each six person team will be responsible for contacting voters and organizing campaign events in ten to fifteen electoral wards. She said field staff will work with the teams, who will also have access to a wide variety of resources on-line. Derse said the campaign will hold fourteen team trainings at locations across the state on Friday, August 23.
