Ben Sheets gets the start tonight for the National League All-Stars in the 2008 Major League Baseball All-Star game. He becomes the first Milwaukee Brewer pitcher to start an All-Star game. Former Milwaukee pitcher Warren Spahn did it twice as a member of the Milwaukee Braves.
Sheets is 10-3 with a 2.85 ERA at the break. He's making his 4th All-Star appearance.
The American League will go with Cleveland Indians pitcher Cliff Lee (12-2 2.31 ERA) on the mound.
Not counting a tie in 2002, the American League has won 10 straight All-Star games. The last time the National League won was back in 1996.
