Muskego Police say two suspects are in custody and a third person was killed, following an officer-involved shooting and high-speed chase that started in the Town of East Troy.
The Walworth County Sheriff’s Department says officers approached a vehicle in a restaurant parking lot at about 5:30 Wednesday evening. Shots were fired during the course of their investigation, including by a deputy. The vehicle then fled east on Interstate-43, leading officers on a chase where speeds hit over 100 miles an hour.
The pursuit ended about 20 miles away in Muskego when the suspects’ vehicle crashed in a subdivision. At least two occupants fled the scene, prompting a manhunt in the area. Police announced late Wednesday night though that all suspects were in custody.
Police have not indicated if there were any injuries. The state Department of Justice is handling the investigation.
