The Forest County Sheriff’s Department says four adults and two juveniles have been arrested on attempted murder charges. The arrests come after the sheriff’s office was called to a wooded area near Crandon Wednesday, where a man had been found beaten and left for dead.

The victim was air-lifted to an area hospital with serious injuries. His name has not been released.

Sheriff’s officers executed a search warrant Wednesday in the town of Wabeno. They arrested 45-year-old Raymond Jones on attempted homicide charges, along with eight other charges that include strangulation and suffocation. Also charged as party to the same offenses were 38-year-old April Jones, 21-year-old Justine A. Bey, and 18-year-old Samantha B.S. McClellan.

Possible charges against the juveniles arrested were not disclosed.

The investigation is ongoing.
