Two men died while clearing snow from this week’s first major storm of the season. Both deaths occurred in Milwaukee on Tuesday. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s office reported that a 54-year-old man collapsed while shoveling — and a 73-year-old man collapsed while operating a snowblower.

Milwaukee had a record snowfall for Monday of 9-inches — and it was extremely heavy due to sleet-and-freezing rain which fell beforehand. Snowfall amounts elsewhere included 11.5 inches in Green Bay, and 6 inches in Madison.
