Lawmakers will being meeting with state agency staff today, as they begin work on Governor Scott Walker’s budget proposal.
Members of the Joint Finance Committee are opening several days of agency briefings on the budget Walker released earlier this year. The hearings provide an opportunity for lawmakers on the budget-writing committee to learn more about the plan, before they begin making changes.
The briefings will be spread out across the next three days at the Capitol.
