Biotechnology firms in Wisconsin can get help to attend an upcoming international conference. Tony Hozeny with the state Department of Commerce says, when it comes to biotech, Wisconsin’s not a flyover zone. And this year’s Bio International Convention is close to home, May 3-6 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Firms can apply for up to $5,000 in state grant money to cover the costs of things such a booth rentals and product literature. The legislature has earmarked 100-thousand dollars for the trade show grant program.
