Charges are pending against a Racine man for a sexual assault related to some stolen keys. A 23-year old woman told Racine Police her keys were taken while at a west side bar, but she was able to get inside her home & lock the doors. Hours later, she says she was awakened to someone touching her, and then the man raped her.
Police got digital video from the bar, saw the keys being taken, ID’d the offender and did a search warrant, arresting the 39-year old man initially for theft.
The Racine County DA’s office is reviewing police paperwork on the sexual assault and armed burglary recommendations.
