The manager of a central Wisconsin convenience store is accused of stealing $1.3 million from her employer. Marshfield police believe 42 year-old Bonnie Hartle of Auburndale pocketed the money over a period of ten years while managing a Weiler Convenience Store. Hartle faces 25 charges for theft in a business setting.

The investigation began last December. Investigators said it wasn’t easy to trace, but they calculate that Hartle was taking roughly $1,000 a week while managing the store. The Weiler family has been friends with Hartle for years, so they were surprised to discover where the missing money was going.

Hartle will make an initial appearance in Wood County Court at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
